Important Announcement!

Hello rescue friends, I’m writing this post to inform you all of a change in the rescue for the next little while. Wayne and I need a much deserved break and will be unavailable for rescue related matters until further notice. Please respect our need for some “quiet” time and do not send me messages or call us during this time. If I do receive an inbox message I will point you to the correct person to contact but will not answer the message in any other way. Calls will be dealt with in the same manner. It’s been an EXTREMELY busy summer for us, not only with the rescue but as some of you are aware, we have been involved with quite a few major renovations at home. We LOVE running the rescue and LOVE all of our supporters and people who chip in to help when needed, but we also have to have some down time. Thankfully we have 3 wonderful volunteers who are willing to take on some of our duties and help with keeping the rescue open until we return. Nicole Smith Reid will be handling adoptions, you can inbox her with questions, and all adoption applications will be forwarded to her. Judy Perry is handling the foster care, you can inbox her questions or concerns if you are fostering for the rescue, and new foster applications will be forwarded to her. Nicole Kavanagh will be handling the surrender and will be posting when an animal need a spot. All surrender applications or calls will be forwarded to her. At this time we will not be fostering more animals ourselves (we have 4 foster buns now and a dove) so when Nicole posts a plea for help it will be of an urgent nature and if a responsible foster home is not found the animal will be turned away. Wayne and I hope everyone can understand this and continue to support the rescue. This break is temporary, we will be back, and the rescue will continue on.
